I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor who attended Sam Houston State University for undergrad. I completed my specialization in Chemical Dependency at LoneStar College, receiving my license through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Since then, I've worked at a group practice before opening my own practice in August 2021. I am honored to work with adolescents, adults, families, and couples to provide an emotionally safe, non-judgemental environment where we work towards healing and acceptance.

My passion lies in supporting others and helping them see the value in themselves. I believe we all struggle in life, and my choice to work with individuals experiencing alcohol or substance use comes from a deep rooted compassion and empathy from which I myself have experienced. That lifestyle ultimately isolated and withdrew me from the things that I truly valued in life. I know what it feels like to live with guilt and shame and how difficult it can be to repair from the consequences this lifestyle brings. If today you find yourself struggling, in pain, or just confused on how to take the next right step towards change in your life, reach out! Let's chat, you do not have to go on this journey alone, because you are not alone. I work with clients to help them find the discipline, commitment, and joy they need to move forward in a way they can be proud of, while working through the root causes of how they got to where they are.

My Therapeutic Style

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where together we build a healthy rapport and an emotionally safe space where you will feel understood, accepted, validated, and challenged. I believe that each person is uniquely different, and, therefore, treatment should be tailored specifically to each individual. I believe that learning to create boundaries, discipline, setting reasonable expectations, and holding ourselves accountable are essential for healthy living. Because all these things are true, I strongly believe in meeting the client where they are and together working towards where they want to be.

I use several therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Strength-Based Therapy.
